When creating custom channels, I always be as descriptive with the name as possible so I can easily identify it later when reviewing my changes. Google also recommends you naming your channel such as "ArticleRightWideSkyscraperOpenAir". Notice you can very easily determine the ad placement, type and color just by looking at the name of the channel.
